Book your unforgettable boat tour on the Euphrates uniting archaeology and nature

A large boat (hosting up to 12 people and equipped with safety features) will let you visit two outstanding archaeological sites along the Syrian Middle Euphrates: the 5200 years-old settlement of Jebel Aruda - founded by colonists from Uruk in South Iraq - and the 3400 years-old fortified town of Tell Munbaqa, ancient Ekalte. At these two very monumental sites you will have the unique opportunity of walking through original ancient streets, houses, storerooms and temples, getting a detailed glimpse of life in a Late Chalcolithic and a Late Bronze city respectively.

A comfortable 1.5 hours drive from Aleppo International Airport will bring you to the village of Al Kesra, where you can park and sail directly for the boat trip. For reservations, write a Whatsapp message in any language to captain Daham Al Mousa at +963984773014 (only Arabic spoken but automatic translation works well). Prices in cash are 40 USD for a c. two hours trip to Jebel Aruda or 70 USD including an additional c. two more hours in order to visit also Tell Munbaqa on the opposite shore, all the trip being surrounded by wild water birds, small fishing boats and a landscape of stunning beauty (and totally safe). You are advised to wear a hat and sport shoes and to bring your own food and water.
